Fatima: Unique Among All Catholic Prophecy
The message of Our Lady of Fatima governs our times and leads into Apocalypse.[1] It is not like any previous Catholic prophecy. It is conditional, that requests were given to be fulfilled; but it is also unconditional, in that it must be fulfilled, one way or the other. It cannot be superceded or appended by any new message, no matter from whom or where.[2]
If one is not familiar with Fatima, the facts may be found at the Fatima website. Briefly: The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917 to speak to three young shepherd children: Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta. For six consecutive months, from May to October on the thirteenth of each month, She appeared to them, and although the curious onlookers who had come to watch[3] did not see Her, their number continued to increase month to month (for there were indications of Her presence) and on October 13 She worked the Miracle of the Sun which was seen by at least 70, 000 witnesses and which confirmed the words of Her witnesses.[4]
The crux of Her message was that "God wishes to establish devotion" to Her Immaculate Heart. The shepherd children were given a secret, for the Church, to keep for a later time. On the same day, July 13, they were shown a vision of hell which affected them deeply and inspired them to a heroic practice of prayer and penance.
One of Her requests was to establish the five First Saturdays devotion. The other was for the 'Holy Father', as the Pope is called, to consecrate Russia in union with all the Catholic bishops of the world.[5] This was intended to save Russia from the forces of communism which even then, in 1917, was being established there. Russia became a nation of slaves of the enemies of Christ and would then spread their pernicious doctrines through the world:
"If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated".
The 'errors of Russia' would penetrate the Church, through agents who infiltrated the priesthood.[6] In the 1950's, Dr. Bella Dodd testified before the House Commitee of Un-American Activities (HUAC) that, in the 1930's Stalin sent over a thousand young men to infiltrate the seminaries with the goal of undermining the Church from within; by the 1950's, some of these were "in the highest positions of the Church". Already this was a consequence of not heeding Our Lady's message. Our Lord to Sr. Lucia of Fatima, August 3, 1931 (Rianjo, Spain):
"They (the Pontiffs) did not wish to heed my request. Like the King of France, they will repent and do it (the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart in union with all the bishops of the world), but it will be late. Russia will have already spread her errors throughout the world, provoking wars, and persecutions of the Church; the Holy Father will have much to suffer."
The entire secret has never been revealed but it is reasonable to assume that it concerns the consequences of the failure to convert Russia and stop the subversion of the hierarchy, resulting in the establishment of the antipapacy and decades of apostasy.[7]
The first two parts of the Secret were revealed to Pope Pius XII in 1941 (coinciding with the opening of the first seal of chapter six), but there was yet a third part which would not be written until 1944. On January 2, Sister Lucy is bidden by Our Lady to write down the Third Secret, and that it be revealed no later than 1960. This was because "it would be clearer then".[8]
It became clearer even if it was not revealed, for its suppression tells against Roncalli, who claimed the papacy in 1958, as one who is unfaithful. The twelfth chapter of Apocalypse reveals what had happened:
The Woman And The Dragon: Apocalypse Chapter 12
"The punishment from Heaven is imminent," Sr. Lucia told Fr. Fuentes;
and this chastisement begins with the taking away of the papacy: "For
the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth,
do hold, until he be taken out of the way" (2 Thess. 2:7).
These 'signs in heaven' refer to events which have happened in the world and are to be seen in a spiritual sense. This involves the "decisive battle" spoken of by Sr. Lucia to Fr. Fuentes in 1957 (which see at end). It describes the spiritual tribulation of the years 1958-1965, when the 'antipapacy' was established and also the 'new church' with Vatican '2'; and its culmination is observed in the time of the 'beast' in chapter 13.
12:1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman
clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a
crown of twelve stars:
K~ And now, in heaven, a great portent appeared;
a woman that wore the sun for her mantle, with the moon under her feet,
and a crown of twelve stars about her head.
The woman is the Holy Mother Church, clothed with the light of Christ and the gospel. The moon, representing the false doctrines of the world, is conquered under her feet. Her crown is the twelve apostles from the Pentecost. The Challoner commentary refers to the moon as "the changeable things of the world" under her feet, as the faith is above all of it.
The woman is also a sign of the Blessed Virgin and the devotions to Her of faithful Catholics in opposition to the forces of the dragon, in a continual spiritual battle in the world.These two signs, in heaven, of the woman and the dragon, do not in themselves tell us anything other than that there is a spiritual confrontation about to take place. Sr. Lucia spoke of an imminent "decisive battle" between the Virgin and the devil; and it concerns both heaven and the world.[9]
12:2 And being with child, she cried travailing in birth, and was in pain to be delivered.
K~ She had a child in her womb, and was crying out as she travailed, in great pain of her delivery.
The conclave of 1958. There was a problem, but it is not visible; the only outward indication was the smoke signals, which signify an election. On October 26, 1958 there was apparently a new pope-elect, but the signal changed from white to black. Two days later, Roncalli appeared as the new pope.
What was not seen was the conflict within the conclave. Some say Cardinal Giuseppe Siri was actually elected, but that some of the cardinals prevailed upon him to rescind.[10] If he had accepted, and chosen a name (only then would the white smoke signal be sent) this cannot be undone.
12:3 And there was seen another sign in heaven:
and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads, and ten horns: and on
his heads seven diadems
K~ Then a second portent appeared in heaven; a great dragon was there,
fiery-red, with seven heads and ten horns, and on each of the seven
heads a royal diadem;
The dragon represents the devil and his militant forces on earth who oppose the Church. The consecration of Russia had not been done, and Russia remains unconverted. The infiltration policy now results in a confrontation within the conclave. The ten horns represent the world-wide influence of communism, in power in Russia and other places. The seven heads are the rulers of Russia and indeed of world communism (the diadems) since 1917 and are destined to appear in succession until the culmination of events in chapter thirteen: Lenin, Stalin, Khruschev, Brezhnev, Gorbachev, Yeltsin and Putin as the last.[11] Each of these had real power (the diadems) which should be contrasted with the heads of the beast (Apoc. 13:1) which did not; although the ten horns of the beast had real power (their diadems) and they would soon "give their power to the beast" (Apoc. 17:13).
12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them
to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be
delivered; that, when she should be delivered, he might devour her son.
K~ his tail dragged down a third part of the
stars in heaven, and flung them to earth. And he stood fronting the
woman who was in childbirth, ready to swallow up the child as soon as
she bore it.
While the dragon outwardly faced the woman in the world, paralleled by the stand-off between East and West on the geopolitical stage, the subversives were quietly taking position in the Church, and perhaps obtaining the cooperation of the more modernist among them (and also within all other Western institutions, while attention was focused on the threat from without). In this context, and with mention of the 'child' (the next Pope being elected), the 'stars of heaven' represent the cardinals, the highest princes of the Church; and a significant number of them no longer have the faith but are interested in worldly ends.
In short, the tail of the dragon signifies the infiltration of the hierarchy, quietly and behind the scenes, while the focus is kept on the external threat.
12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with an
iron rod: and her son was taken up to God, and to his throne.
K~ She bore a son, the son who is to herd the nations like sheep with a
crook of iron; and this child of hers was caught up to God, right up to
his throne,
Siri was elected but did not reign from Oct. 26, 1958 until his death on May 2, 1989. The purpose of permitting his election, and then suppressing his pontificate, was to then place on the throne someone who is not protected from heresy by the Holy Spirit (as one is already elected, there cannot be another). Some believe that he was made to resign (but under duress this cannot be a valid resignation). Some believe that he compromised himself, and fell from the pontificate, by signing on to the documents of Vatican '2' and otherwise co-operating with the antipopes of that council.[12]
The newly-elected was "taken up to God, and to his throne" which might suppose an immediate assassination, if these 'signs' were not, as is written, seen in heaven. What it means is, whatever else may have happened afterwards, the newly-elected was taken up to heaven, in due course. This was mentioned immediately because whomever it concerns is not heard from again for the duration of the events of this chapter.[13]
This pope would have ruled "with an iron rod" during the period of peace, reforming morals and repairing the spiritual damage done up to that point, due to modernism, the misapplication of science (evolutionism), and other influences.
12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where
she had a place prepared by God, that there they should feed her a
thousand two hundred sixty days.
K~ while the mother fled into the wilderness, where God had prepared a
place of refuge for her, and there, for twelve hundred and sixty days,
she is to be kept safe.
The Church departs Rome, and the cardinals, where the antipapacy, the 'beast' of chapter thirteen, is now installed with its first 'head'.[14] She now resides in the various dioceses, where, although the bishops are unsuspecting as to Rome's status, they are not in schism; she can function as normal.[15] The 'place of refuge' must represent such decrees as were already in place to guard the integrity of the Church in the case of sede vacante; although in this case it is a usurpation and not merely a vacant See. The 1,260 days, about three and a half years, represents the time from this event until the spring of 1962, six months before the council.[16]
The bishops as a whole have not yet been led astray from their mission as all else is thus far in continuity with Pius XII. This changed when Roncalli introduced alterations in the Mass, in the form of the new Roman missal on July 25, 1962.
In verses five and six, Knox translation, it is implied that the papacy is prorogued ("taken out of the way") immediately, even as the woman is departing Rome, rather than it being a hidden pontificate.
12:7 And there was a great battle in heaven, Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angels:
K~ Fierce war broke out in heaven, where Michael
and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels
fought on their part,
The decisive battle between the Blessed Virgin and the devil, spoken of by Sr. Lucia to Fr. Fuentes in 1957,[17] consists of two parts: That of the Church (the woman) and the dragon's forces both inside and outside the Church, to usurp the papacy and attack the faith from within; and a direct attack upon Her person in heaven itself. In chapter four, verse eight, we see that the four living creatures "rested not day and night", saying "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and who is, and who is to come". The devil tried to interrupt Our Lady's continual intercession.
12:8 And they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven.
K~ but could not win the day, or stand their ground in heaven any longer;
Sr/ Lucia told Fr. Fuentes that Our Lady told her that "the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive
battle against the Virgin. And a decisive battle is the final battle
where one side will be victorious and the other side will suffer defeat". On earth, the dragon would appear to be victorious as the woman retreats; but in heaven, the devil suffered a decisive defeat, such that their former places in heaven were no longer there.[18]
It is very likely this battle in heaven took place in the year 1960.
12:9 And that great dragon was cast out, that old
serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, who seduceth the whole
world; and he was cast unto the earth, and his angels were thrown down
with him.
K~ the great dragon, serpent of the primal age,
was flung down to earth; he whom we call the devil, or Satan, the whole
world’s seducer, flung down to earth, and his angels with him.
It may be seen as a foregone conclusion. However, the devil chose this moment for his battle because there may have been some chance of success, according to his understanding. It is certain, though, that he cannot mount such an attack again. This is like a second fall to them, added to their original fall from grace.
12:10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying:
Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the
power of his Christ: because the accuser of our brethren is cast forth,
who accused them before our God day and night.
K~ Then I heard a voice crying aloud in heaven, The time has come; now we
are saved and made strong, our God reigns, and power belongs to Christ,
his anointed; the accuser of our brethren is overthrown. Day and night
he stood accusing them in God’s presence;
In the world today, we see the effect of the "accuser" in the media and institutions day in and day out, in that the descendants of once-Catholic Europe are accused of so many things, and also those who are not of European descent but are nominally Catholic, or even just "conservative" (keeping such principles which are inimical to communism and the worship of what is called 'equality').
In his attempt to defeat the Church and cause the gates of hell to prevail against it (in opposition to Christ's promise of Matt. 16:18) the devil caused his own defeat, in that the substitution of the pope for an impostor did not have the desired effect.[19] He will go further than this with the council in order to undermine the faith from its doctrinal foundations, by substituting those as well.
12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of the testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death.
K~ but because of the Lamb’s blood and because of
the truth to which they bore witness, they triumphed over him, holding
their lives cheap till death overtook them.
The infinite merits of Christ from His passion and crucifixion together with the love of the truth and acts of sacrifice and self-denial was the means by which many overcame the devil's attempts to drag them to perdition. The "word of the testimony" must include the message of Fatima and the Marian apparitions in general. It must necessarily also include the dogmas of the faith, by which the unfaithful papal pretenders and other false prelates are identified by their heresies and contempt for sacred tradition.
12:12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you that dwell therein. Woe to the
earth, and to the sea, because the devil is come down unto you, having
great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time.
K~ Rejoice over it, heaven, and all you that dwell in heaven; but woe to
you, earth and sea, now that the devil has come down upon you, full of
malice, because he knows how brief is the time given him.
It is around this time that the devil began his false message of Garabandal (1961). By making prophecies concerning a material event which he saw must come to pass, as well as by adding his and his allies' artifices, he planned to lead the whole world to willingly accept the antipapacy by 'fulfilling' his own prophecy.[20] But to do this, he had to undermine the faith further, with the council. Concurrent with this are the significant increases of sinful influences, through all forms of media, and fashions, and deceptions. This is part of the 'spiritual chastisement' spoken of by Sr. Lucia; the "woe to the earth, and to the sea" of all those who are now bereft of spiritual guidance together with renewed temptations.
12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman, who brought forth the man child:
K~ So the dragon, finding himself cast down to earth, went in pursuit of the woman, the boy’s mother;
Roncalli had announced a council already in 1959 (this was originally planned under Pius XII, but was not attempted then due to his failing health); but preparations now began in earnest. The dragon's persecution is spiritual, not temporal. It was begun by altering the Mass with the publication of Roncalli's version of the missal on July 25, 1962. This was specific to the bishops throughout the world, in order to undermine them spiritually.
12:14 And there were given to the woman two wings of a great eagle, that she
might fly into the desert unto her place, where she is nourished for a
time and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
K~ but the woman was given two wings, such as the great eagle has, to speed
her flight into the wilderness, to her place of refuge, where for a
year, and two years, and half a year she will be kept hidden from the
serpent’s view.
Sr. Lucia told Fr. Fuentes that the two last remedies for the world are
the Holy Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and this
is part of "the word of the testimony" as well as possibly the 'two wings'. The 'great eagle' may be a reference to the 'eagle flying' which is the fourth living creature, in which case it is Our Lady of Fatima.
The "time and times, and half a time", roughly three and a half years, represents the duration of the council (1962-65) though it may really have begun with the promulgation of the 1962 missal of Roncalli on July 25, 1962. Whereas before the woman had fled Rome to the various dioceses around the world, now she flees from them as well, to reside in those members of the clergy and the faithful who are not involved with the council underway.
As Sr. Lucia told Fr. Fuentes, "Thus the devil does everything to overcome souls consecrated to God,
because in this way the devil will succeed in leaving the souls of the
faithful abandoned by their leaders, thereby the more easily will he
seize them". But this was restrained for the duration of the council.
12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth after
the woman, water as it were a river; that he might cause her to be
carried away by the river.
K~ Thereupon the serpent sent a flood of water out of his mouth in pursuit of the woman, to carry her away on its tide;
This is the promulgation of the council to the Catholic world at large, in order to undermine the faith of all who are carried away by this 'new pentecost' or 'new springtime' as Roncalli called the council. This is not the waters of life of the true faith.
12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth
opened her mouth, and swallowed up the river, which the dragon cast out
of his mouth.
K~ but earth came to the woman’s rescue. The earth gaped wide, and
swallowed up this flood which the dragon had sent out of his mouth.
The flood of heresy of the new false version of the faith could not cover the whole earth. There may be two reasons for this: First, the Church is founded upon the Rock, St. Peter, and the dogmas of the faith, which some of the faithful held faithfully, enabled them to escape being carried away by the new heretical and ambiguous doctrines of the council. Secondly, it is the effect of the existence of the Book of Life of the Lamb, written "from the foundation of the world" (Apoc. 17:8), or as Knox put it, "before the world was". Although as of the time of these events, it is still under seal, nevertheless it is a kind of 'failsafe' that the devil cannot undermine (since it existed before original sin came to be). It is also being unsealed due to the devil's war against the papacy, so that, in order to deceive the world into losing their souls with finality, he has to attempt to lead them to the antipapacy; and those who are not deceived will overcome by the dogmas of the faith. So it is that "the gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church".
12:17 And the dragon was angry against the woman:
and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the
commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
K~ So, in his spite against the woman, the
dragon went elsewhere to make war on the rest of her children, the men
who keep God’s commandments, and hold fast to the truth concerning
Jesus.
In addition to the flood of heresy of Vatican '2', the powers and principalities of darkness, whether by communists, freemasons or those who say they are jews (Apoc. 2:9), the devil has worked to flood the world with corruption of sin and materialism and the 'errors of Russia', which today has culminated into what is called 'woke'; which is the unjust judgement of everything and everyone in the west according to its principle of 'equality', which may be called 'equalism' (as a secular false religion) in which all are judged evil who do not accept these communist principles.
12:18 And he stood upon the sand of the sea.
K~ And he stood there waiting on the sea beach.
Since 1965, all these things have been in motion, and the devil awaits the culmination of his plans. The main focus of chapter twelve are the events which caused the faith to mostly disappear from the world, from the loss of the pope to the leading astray of the bishops and most of the clergy and the faithful. In addition, the seed of the Garabandal up deception is sown and the Book of Life is beginning to be unsealed, although its time is not yet. The fourth seal, which concerns the 'pale horse', is opened at the time of the promulgation of Vatican '2'. Lastly, it appears that there cannot be another pope until the signing of the elect (Apoc. 7) after the sixth seal event; as if the papacy itself is taken out of the equation (2 Thess. 2:6-7).[21]
Addendum - The Siri Thesis: Sedevacante Or 'Sederemota' ?
(May 29/25) The Siri Thesis is incorrect. [Edit: inexact] There was no hidden pope during the first few decades of the antipapacy established 1958. Siri was elected, it is true, and it may be true that his reign is prorogued as suggested here; but what is important to emphasize is that, as stated in 2 Thessalonians 2 (verses 6-7), the papacy which restrains the 'man of sin' and "withholdeth (him), that he may be revealed in his time" does not hold if a pope did actually exist but was hidden. No, St. Paul in Thessalonians was more explicit: he stated that (the papacy) was "taken out of the way" or "removed from the enemy's path".
This means that the papacy was removed as though it were null; it was not applicable; it was 'removed from the circles of the world'. It's not ended (St. Paul did not say that), but is completely removed for these times, as if it was abrogated as an institution. This was necessary for the antichrist to come, because he and the true pope cannot exist in the world at the same time, and this must include the antichrist's forerunners, the false popes. This also means that, during this period, no one can be elected in any case.
Since then, the requirement to have the name of the pope in the canon of the Mass is null. And, for the years 1958-1962, having the name of a false pope attached to the Tridentine did not matter. Not only was the papal chair empty (sedevacante) but it is not there to be found at all under Heaven (sederemota).
This is the reason why Roncalli established the altered mass on July 25, 1962, via the
Apostolic Constitution Rubricarum Instructum, just a few months before
the opening of Vatican '2' on October 11, 1962. The dragon could not yet undermine the bishops by having them recognize a false pope, and so fall into schism; as if the papacy, for all intents and purposes, was no longer required; but he had to make unauthorized changes to induce them to move away from the legitimate mass of St. Pius V, and so fall into schism in that manner.
This may also mean that no canonical mission or papal mandate is now required for legitimate priests and bishops to operate in the world.
In the examination of the "time and times, and half a time" for the second half of Apocalypse 12, in which the woman flees into the desert (out of the dioceses), this did not fit exactly with the length of Vatican '2', which was a little over three years (Oct. 11, 1962 until Dec. 8, 1965); but if the altered mass (July 25, 1962) is taken into account in the way described, it is indeed three and a half years - exactly.
*The 1962 missal was not binding on the Eastern Rite; thus the Church was "nourished for a 'time and times, and half a time' from the face of the serpent" (Apoc. 12:14).
**Siri could not have fallen from the papacy due to what is called by
some cowardice, and by others acts of unfaithfulness by recognizing a
false pope over and above himself. There was no papacy on earth any
longer from which to fall, or his own was 'prorogued'. Another way is to
view it like this: "What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder".
God can separate things: the papacy from the pope, or the seat of the
papacy from the world itself, which would amount to the same thing. But
this is not a punishment: As St. Paul told us, "he who checks (the
conspiracy of revolt) now will be able to check it, until he is removed
from the enemy’s path". This was done by God is to prevent the enemy
from separating them, as Christ's promise to St. Peter indicates. This
accounts for the relevant verses both of Apocalypse and Thessalonians.

On days: There are precisely 2,600 days inclusive from Siri's
suppressed election on Oct. 26, 1958 until the close of Vatican '2' on
Dec. 8, 1965, taking into account leap years. This is 45 days over
precisely seven years. In Daniel 12:11-12, the time of the 'abomination
unto desolation' is given as 1,290 days; but then: "Blessed is he that
waiteth, and so cometh unto a thousand three hundred thirty-five days".
The meaning of this is not known.
The
time from Siri's election until the day before Roncalli's false version
of the mass (Oct. 26, 1958 - July 24, 1962) is 1,367 days inclusive.
This is considerably greater than 1,260 days. But the number is meant to
indicate a time period of at least 3.5 years (two and forty
months = 30 * 42 = 1,260). The years are thus truncated from 365 to 360,
as each month is assumed to be 30 days. It would seem that the years
and months are also truncated when indicating the general time period of
the first half of chapter twelve. Thus, all of 1959, 1960, 1961 and the
first six months of 1962 (not July) is "1,260 days" without part years
or months.

1. Our Lady did not mention the Apocalypse, but it is inferred from the text of the secret ("various nations will be annihilated"). Her secret presents a diverging path; whether there would be a period of peace first or not (before the antichrist).
2. All apparitions or prophecies after 1958 are considered suspect, in that they do not take into account the establishment of the antipopes in the Vatican. There are a few in the intervening years. These are examined in Progression Of Catholic Prophecy.
3. After the first apparition, Jacinta let their secret out. Providentially as it turns out.
4. The Miracle was limited to a certain limited radius around the Cova da Iria, where the apparitions took place, at Fatima. That it was not seen outside of this area means that She stopped time everywhere else for the duration of the Miracle. There is an indication in Apocalypse that a similar stoppage will happen for the signing of the elect (Apoc. 7:1-3) signified by the 'holding of the wind' or all movement.
5. This consecration was intended to result in the conversion of Russia, setting aside that nation for service to Christ rather than service to the devil in communism.
6. That seeming atheists would bother to do this means they are not so much atheist as opposed to Christ. Their vision of a kind of utopia on earth betrays a spiritual awareness of original sin even as they deny it. The name for people of this ilk, enslaved to the devil whether they realize it or not, is the mystery of iniquity (2 Thess. 2:7); also called the 'conspiracy of revolt' by Knox.

Although Gorbachev dissolved the Communist Party, the faction which may be called the 'mystery of iniquity' retained power over the nation. Siri died in 1989; his election and the consequent suppression of his papacy was meant to neutralize the papacy, spiritually, so that whomever is subsequently elected will not be restrained by the Holy Spirit from teaching error. After Siri died, the 'mystery of iniquity' found no further reason to keep up the pretense of communism also as the demoralization of the West had progressed sufficiently, as well as the replacement of validly ordained prelates from the pontificate of Pius XII. As the faction retained its hold over Russia, Yeltsin and Putin are included among the seven 'heads'. The three who are not included are Malenkov (1953) who was there for only six months; and Andropov (1982-84) and Chernenko (1984-85) who seemed to be interim rulers until Gorbachev. Due to poor health (Andropov was usually replaced by Nikolai Tikhonov) or lack of support, these three were inconsequential and were not true rulers of the communist enterprise in the full sense (the diadems).
Gorbachev's Glasnost and Perestroika was for world communism/globalism a shift in strategy and methods; not in its ends.
12. It would be scandalous, had he been known as the pope, if he did this; but as he was still known only as a cardinal, there was nothing, on the surface, unusual about this.
13. It is believed he will be heard from again, since his pontificate is prorogued. Possibly in connection with the signing of the elect (chapter seven). It need hardly be added that he would have reigned during the 'period of peace' had Russia been consecrated according to the Fatima request. It is possible that either way he is destined to reign:
A theory that his pontificate was prorogued: The
Vatican Council (1869-70), properly speaking, was never officially
closed due to internal strife in Italy at the time; thus it was
prorogued (put on hold) indefinitely. Another council of this scope, a
general council, cannot be called before the former is concluded. A true pope
would have to officially close it before beginning another, and Roncalli
was not a true pope; nor did (or could) he close the Vatican council.
And now a new, illicit pontificate is begun when a pope is already elected (Roncalli was already ineligible due to his connection to freemasonry and heresies). One can speculate how, but it could be Siri's pontificate was prorogued as well, whether by his own decree or by some pre-ordained ordinance of Heaven. It is possible that the act of suppressing his pontificate so that it was entirely unknown enabled this, since the Papal office is to teach, not be silenced. Another way to state it is, as per Christ's promise that the 'gates of hell' shall not prevail against His Church, that this capacity to be 'taken out of the way' at a certain time, to be preserved somehow, was always in the nature of the papacy.
In chapter eighteen, verse six, it is written, concerning 'Babylon the great': "Render to her as she also hath rendered to you; and double unto her double according to her works, etc.". It is this double suppression, that of supplanting the Vatican Council with a false one, and of Siri with Roncalli, which would eventually result in what St. John is told is 'Great Babylon'. There is another 'double': The crucifixion of Our Lord and now the passion of the Church.
14. The Knox translation indicates that, at the same time the man-child is 'taken up to God', the woman is retreating from Rome to the world's dioceses. This would seem to indicate that the posited prorogation happened immediately. It may have been prepared for beforehand, as is the "place of refuge" where the woman goes.
15. It is possible that, since the papacy (the 'man-child') was "taken up to God, and to his throne", there is no longer any papacy on earth from which to be in schism. The 'place of refuge' consists in the continuity of the Church's mission as though it were an ordinary sede vacante.
16. It is not necessarily exactly 1,260 days, but the time period is meant to be about three and a half years; this is to be distinguished from the "time and times, and half a time" of Apoc. 12:14, and the "two and forty months" of Apoc. 13:5. In chapter eleven, verse two, there is another time period of "two and forty months"; this is the equivalent of the time of the beast of chapter thirteen, but in the other timeline (it has to be either chapter eleven or chapter thirteen). In other words, the "two and forty months" is meant to represent the persecution of the good by the beast; and the other periods equaling three and a half years represent other time periods.

against the Blessed Virgin. And the devil knows what it is that offends
God the most, and which in a short space of time will gain for him the
greatest number of souls. Thus the devil does everything to overcome
souls consecrated to God, because in this way the devil will succeed in
leaving the souls of the faithful abandoned by their leaders, thereby
the more easily will he seize them.”
18. It is hardly conclusive, but it would seem that their former places in heaven, from before their fall, gave them the ability to wage this decisive battle. Alternatively, as Knox seems to suggest, their former places in heaven had little to do with it.
19. The devil attempted to drag souls to hell by giving them a false pope to follow; but this has to be done willingly, with full knowledge and consent. If it is "damned if you do, damned if you don't" (to unknowingly follow a false pope or to knowingly not follow he who is thought to be the actual pope) then it is not a choice. That is why the papacy was taken away, as it is the locus of this choice.

“No One Has Paid Any Attention”
“Father,
the most Holy Virgin is very sad because no one has paid any attention
to Her Message, neither the good nor the bad. The good continue on their
way, but without giving any importance to Her Message. The bad, not
seeing the punishment of God actually falling upon them, continue their
life of sin without even caring about the Message. But believe me,
Father, God will chastise the world and this will be in a terrible
manner. The punishment from Heaven is imminent.”
The Secret Not Revealed
“Father,
how much time is there before 1960 arrives? It will be very sad for
everyone, not one person will rejoice at all if beforehand the world
does not pray and do penance. I am not able to give any other details,
because it is still a Secret. According to the will of the Most Holy
Virgin, only the Holy Father and the Bishop of Fatima are permitted to
know the Secret, but they have chosen to not know it so that they would
not be influenced. This is the third part of the Message of Our Lady,
which will remain secret until 1960.”
Russia, the Scourge of God
“Tell
them, Father, that many times the Most Holy Virgin told my cousins
Francisco and Jacinta, as well as myself, that many nations will
disappear from the face of the earth. She said that Russia will be the
instrument of chastisement chosen by Heaven to punish the whole world if
we do not beforehand obtain the conversion of that poor nation.”
“The Decisive Battle” Between Mary and Satan: the Falling Away of Consecrated Souls and Priests
Sister
Lucy also told me: “Father, the devil is in the mood for engaging in a
decisive battle against the Blessed Virgin. And the devil knows what it
is that offends God the most, and which in a short space of time will
gain for him the greatest number of souls. Thus the devil does
everything to overcome souls consecrated to God, because in this way the
devil will succeed in leaving the souls of the faithful abandoned by
their leaders, thereby the more easily will he seize them.”
“That
which afflicts the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Heart of Jesus is
the fall of religious and priestly souls. The devil knows that religious
and priests who fall away from their beautiful vocation drag numerous
souls to hell. … The devil wishes to take possession of consecrated
souls. He tries to corrupt them in order to lull to sleep the souls of
laypeople and thereby lead them to final impenitence. He employs all
tricks, even going so far as to suggest the delay of entrance into
religious life. Resulting from this is the sterility of the interior
life, and among the laypeople, coldness (lack of enthusiasm) regarding
the subject of renouncing pleasures and the total dedication of
themselves to God.”
That Which Sanctified Jacinta and Francisco
“Tell
them also, Father, that my cousins Francisco and Jacinta sacrificed
themselves because in all the apparitions of the Most Holy Virgin, they
always saw Her very sad. She never smiled at us. This sadness, this
anguish which we noted in Her, penetrated our souls. This sadness is
caused by the offenses against God and the punishments which menace
sinners. And so, we children did not know what to think except to invent
various means of praying and making sacrifices.”
The other things which sanctified these children was to see the vision of Hell.
The Mission of Sister Lucy
“Father,
that is why my mission is not to indicate to the world the material
punishments which are certain to come if the world does not pray and do
penance beforehand. No! My mission is to indicate to everyone the
imminent danger we are in of losing our souls for all eternity if we
remain obstinate in sin.”
The Urgency of Conversion
Sister
Lucy also said to me: “Father, we should not wait for an appeal to the
world to come from Rome on the part of the Holy Father, to do penance.
Nor should we wait for the call to penance to come from our bishops in
our diocese, nor from the religious congregations. No! Our Lord has
already very often used these means, and the world has not paid
attention. That is why now, it is necessary for each one of us to begin
to reform himself spiritually. Each person must not only save his own
soul but also help to save all the souls that God has placed on our
path.”
“The
devil does all in his power to distract us and to take away from us the
love for prayer; we shall be saved together or we shall be damned
together.”
Last Times
“Father,
the Most Holy Virgin did not tell me that we are in the last times of
the world, but She made me understand this for three reasons.”
The Final Battle
“The
first reason is because She told me that the devil is in the mood for
engaging in a decisive battle against the Virgin. And a decisive battle
is the final battle where one side will be victorious and the other side
will suffer defeat. Also, from now on we must choose sides. Either we
are for God or we are for the devil. There is no other possibility.”
The Last Remedies
“The
second reason is because She said to my cousins as well as to myself,
that God is giving two last remedies to the world. These are the Holy
Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These are the last
two remedies which signify that there will be no others.”
The Sin Against the Holy Spirit
“The
third reason is because in the plans of Divine Providence, God always,
before He is about to chastise the world, exhausts all other remedies.
Now, when He sees that the world pays no attention whatsoever, then as
we say in our imperfect manner of speaking, He offers us with ‘certain
fear’ the last means of salvation, His Most Holy Mother. It is with
‘certain fear’ because if you despise and repulse this ultimate means,
we will not have any more forgiveness from Heaven, because we will have
committed a sin which the Gospel calls the sin against the Holy Ghost.
This sin consists of openly rejecting, with full knowledge and consent,
the salvation which He offers. Let us remember that Jesus Christ is a
very good Son and that He does not permit that we offend and despise His
Most Holy Mother. We have recorded through many centuries of Church
history the obvious testimony which demonstrates by the terrible
chastisements which have befallen those who have attacked the honor of
His Most Holy Mother, how Our Lord Jesus Christ has always defended the
honor of His Mother.”
Prayer and Sacrifice and the Holy Rosary
Sister Lucy told me: “The two means for saving the world are prayer and sacrifice.”
Regarding
the Holy Rosary, Sister Lucy said: “Look, Father, the Most Holy Virgin,
in these last times in which we live, has given a new efficacy to the
recitation of the Rosary. She has given this efficacy to such an extent
that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether
temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us,
of our families, of the families of the world or of the religious
communities, or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be
solved by the Rosary. There is no problem I tell you, no matter how
difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy
Rosary. With the Holy Rosary we will save ourselves. We will sanctify
ourselves. We will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many
souls.”
Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
“Finally,
devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Most Holy Mother,
consists in considering Her as the seat of mercy, of goodness and of
pardon, and as the sure door by which we are to enter Heaven.”
