It is here believed that Our Lady of Fatima concerns the Apocalypse directly. Her Message constitutes a sign that it is near and it is the gateway to its fulfillment. Our Lady appeared to three young shepherd children six times from May to October on the 13th of each month. She worked the 'Miracle of the Sun' witnessed by an estimated 70,000 people.
St. John's vision of Heaven described in chapters four and five, where the events of Apocalypse actually begin, may well have its parallel in Our Lady's Fatima apparitions in Portugal, 1917. The parallel is spiritual.[1]
It is also here believed that the devil has a counterfeit message, also involved with Apocalypse, in order to obscure it and Our Lady of Fatima. That is Garabandal (1961-1965). It began the year after the third secret of Fatima was supposed to be revealed, in 1960. According to our reckoning, this was the time when the 'battle in Heaven' spoken of by Sr. Lucia to Fr. Fuentes in 1957 took place (Apoc. 12:7-12). Afterwards, seeing he was cast down to earth, he began to prepare a counter-stroke; one which may seem a long-term plan to us but is only 'a short time' to him.
There is an odd angle to consider in this. The counter-stroke the devil has planned seems to be based on Apocalypse, in particular the sixth seal; but on the other hand it may have given him the idea in the first place. The old question of the chicken and the egg comes to mind here; but what is most significant is that, after the battle, he was probably compelled to take that direction. Up to that point (1960) only the first three seals had been opened (according to this reckoning). It is not known whether the devil knew of the opening of the seals and how he changed his plans accounting for them; one might say that, during the battle in Heaven, he came to know something about it. It is not our intention to speculate over every last motivation behind every action; at best we can draw some inferences. But we might draw up a general picture of what was going on.
In the other 'timeline' (see The Two Timelines sequence) some prophecies speak of a comet, or otherwise some disturbances in the heavens which might be the same thing which causes the sixth seal effect but without the spiritual aspect which is part of Garabandal (our timeline only). He would not have been able to even begin a false prophetical sequence to be 'fulfilled' later during the period of peace - the papacy would certainly have immediately condemned it; besides which the whole context, spiritually and temporally, of the world would be very different. But we think the devil would be aware of such natural phenomena he might be able to use, particularly if the world were spiritually in a very darkened state and thus more easily deceived.
There is already a familiar pattern: He did not set up a competing false papacy, but he supplanted the true one in its place; similarly he might try to manipulate the world's perceptions on things related to Apocalypse which might already occur in the natural sphere. However, we think this is part of the design of Providence to bring about the fulfillment of all these things. It comes full circle; it is almost circular in a way; but that is how it seems to be: The things to be fulfilled are, in part, initiated by the prophecies concerning them. The overall point is that the devil appears to be trying to anticipate Apocalypse and use it for his own designs, but what is actually happening is that it is being fulfilled as intended. At the same time, he must pursue this course of action in order to draw souls away from God.[2]
The 'Dance Of The Sun'
Here we are interested in contrasting Fatima and Garabandal in their two singularly visible and prophesied events: The Miracle of the Sun and 'the Warning'. We mean to show that these are exactly the opposite, one to the other.
All Fatima references are taken from The Whole Truth About Fatima, Vol. I: Science And The Facts by Frere Michel de la Sainte Trinite and fatima.org. All Garabandal references are from garabandal.org. All testimonies are well documented. We will focus on two notable witnesses in particular because of the clarity of their testimony.
By accounts from Dr. Jose de Almeida Garrett, professor of the Faculty of Sciences of Coimbra, Portugal; and Avelino de Ameida, editor in chief of "O Seculo", the "great 'liberal', anticlerical and Masonic daily of Lisbon. The miracle of the sun had:
(Dr. Garrett)
1. Begun on a rainy and cloudy day.
2. The clouds departed, relatively quickly.
3. The sun appeared as a silvery disc, easy to look at; there was no fog to obscure its regular brightness.
4. "The sun's disc did not remain immobile, it had a giddy motion, [but] not like the twinkling of a star in all its brilliance for it spun round and round upon itself in a mad whirl".
This perhaps requires some explanation. We may have misunderstood it in the past; but now we think the sun appeared to move in place, as though its very appearance were the product of a special effects studio; its disc displayed within itself movements and colours as though some CGI were being displayed on its surface, as though on an old CRT display (which had a curvature) or a modern-day flatscreen. On the other hand, it may have appeared to move or spin along its radius as well, as a disc pinned on its edge and spun round. Later we will give approximate examples of what we think it may have looked like.
5. "...Looking at the sun, I noticed that everything was becoming darkened. I looked first at the nearest objects and then extended my glance further afield as far as the horizon. I saw everything had assumed an amethyst colour. Everything both near and far had changed, taking on the colour of old yellow damask".
The colours from the sun were shed upon the onlookers, and in their movements created precisely this impression. This is the effect of a movie theatre screen upon the audience depending on the scene.
6. "The sun, whirling wildly, seemd to loosen itself from the firmament and advance threateningly upon the earth as if to crush us with its huge and fiery weight"...."It seemed like a wheel of fire which was going to fall upon the people" (Maria de Capelinha).
This does not tell us whether the sun seemed to 'drop' towards the horizon or whether it grew larger as it approached. Perhaps it was both. Since Dr. Garrett said that it 'loosened itself from the firmament' then it seems the sun did not remain in its approximate position in the sky, whatever else its surface was doing a the time.
Alvelino de Almeida: "What did I see at Fatima that was even stranger ? The rain, at an hour announced in advance, ceased falling; the thick mass of clouds dissolved; and the sun - a dull silver disc - came into view at its zenith, and began to dance in a violent and convulsive movement, which a great number of witnesses compared to a serpentine dance, because the colours take on by the surface of the sun were so beautiful and gleaming".
Here we see Almeida's testimony agreeing with that of Dr. Garrett's, with additional details regarding the 'display' of the sun's surface: It seems as though it showed various colours at once; not quite blending together; but distinct enough to show movement as though it were a 'dance'. Again, later we will give examples of visual effects which may roughly correspond to this.
In contrasting the miracle of the sun with the sixth seal event we became curious to find out what the moon was doing during this time. After an internet query (via Grok on Twitter / X) it was found the moon's position was:
- Low in the sky or below the horizon at midday; as a thin waning crescent, it would be hard to see with the sun in the sky at midday without [at least partly] cloudy conditions (during the miracle, there were no cloudy conditions).
- The moon's thin phase meant it was not a prominent or likely a factor in most eyewitnesses' accounts.
- It had roughly 7-9% illumination approaching New Moon which was Oct. 15-16 (1917) .
So the moon was decidely a non-factor during the Miracle of the Sun.
The Garabandal 'Warning' Description
We will contrast this with Garabandal's description which is admittedly limited to a few known statements by those who witnessed the false apparitions. As is said before on this blog/site, Garabandal's 'Warning' description and the sixth seal may seem in places contradictory, but does interlace in such as way that each describes certain aspects of the event which is omitted by the other. The reason for this may be that the devil did not wish his deception to be associated directly with the sixth seal.[3] That would beg the question of what was happening with all of the others (seals) and what it might mean for the world; it is our contention that the devil wishes to do all he can to obscure the truth of it, as it would end his plans if people believed it. Thus he will divert all attention from the sixth seal to his false prophecy; and at the same time the beast will, by authority as if of God Himself, 'overrule' the Apocalypse. Both at once is not contradictory, as he might say Garabandal itself overrules it. But we digress; the thing is that the combined descriptions of 'the Warning' and the sixth seal describe the same event. Garbandal's description:
A. It will happen in the sky, "like the collision of two stars that do not fall down".
We will return to this statement later.
B. It will be "like the revelation of our sins" and "a 'correction' of our conscience".
This is called the 'illumination of conscience', as though people might see themselves as who they truly are, spiritually. We think this effect will be done through all the demons, acting as the Accuser, and accusing people of all their sins. The 'Accuser' was 'cast down' to earth following the battle in Heaven of Apoc. 12 which is the battle spoken of by Sr. Lucia; we think this happened precisely in 1960. That is why these things seem to be connected. The people who will not be affected by the event are those (for the most part, probably) who say the Rosary every day and are devoted to Our Lady of Fatima. This will single them out immediately as those either 'favoured by demons' or 'favoured by Heaven' depending on what one wants to believe. People will have to choose between these alternatives.[4] But we continue with 'the Warning' description:
C. It will be "visible to the whole world and from any place where anyone may happen to be".
Except for some; but this discrepancy will not have a major effect on the majority who will believe it to be genuinely of Heaven.
D. It will be "seen and felt in all parts of the world and by every person".
Visually and spiritually. What will be felt is called, again, the 'illumination of conscience' and the 'revelation of our sins' occuring at the time they are witnessing the event. Obviously seeing one's own sins is a good thing if it leads people to repentance; but that is not the intention of the Accuser. His intention is to drive people to Rome and the antipope or the antichrist if he happens to appear at that time[5]. This is the crucial issue: If one does not make the distinction, then an imposed 'self-confession/revelation' as 'the Warning' is of no avail. This is part of the chastisement of the world: That people will seek salvation in the wrong place, and that they will be more likely to do so the further into sin they happen to be. This is part of the reason for the overwhelming tidal wave of sin for the past few decades, and the even worse 'woke' narrative of recent years, in which the most basic truths are denied. This is in contrast to the very subtle trap the devil attempted in 1958 with the substitute 'pope'.
E. It is also described as "like a fire that will not burn our flesh".
At the minimum, this is the reflected light of the red moon upon all of them who are out-of-doors at the time, or even next to a window; but many would prefer to hide themselves (Apoc. 6:15-16). But it is possible that all will feel a prickly or heated sensation of some sort as a result of the shock of what they are experiencing. Of course it cannot be said beforehand exactly what it will be like. But we think that can be ascribed to an effect of psychology; the main supernatural aspect is the 'general accusation ("revelation of our sins").
Theoretically, such an event might draw the world to the 'second Vatican religion' of the false council. But it is not as it was upon its inauguration in 1965; it has become emptied of the meaning it formerly had when it was dimly Catholic. Now is begun the 'Synodal' form of the place where the Church dwelt formerly, in which all false religions may be comfortably integrated into its structure. Even so, it is difficult to see how this may be done convincingly, even with the 'Warning', unless it were corroborated with another kind of miracle; especially if it were a kind of resurrection of a former 'pope' (see Triangulating The Sixth Seal). Such a personage would appear to have such authority, and it is not difficult to see why.
The Sixth Seal Description
We will compare the sixth seal event (Apoc. 6:12-17) with Garabandal before contrasting them with the Fatima miracle of the sun. But first there is a slight translation or printing difficulty to be cleared up; it is a small but relevant point. In the online version, verse twelve ends with a period:
"And I saw, when he had opened the sixth seal: and behold there was a great earthquake. And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair: and the whole moon became as blood."
This is different from how we remember it when this was explored initially, when it ended with a colon:
"...and the whole moon became as blood:"
That is how it is printed in older physical copies in our possession; one from 1896, and the other from 1938. It is the same with verses thirteen and fourteen, as well; the older printing ends them in a colon, and the newer with a period.
The colon makes a significant difference in how one reads the sixth seal verses. From verses twelve to fourteen the events described are connected via the colon so that it is understood to be happening simultaneously, not one after the other. This is a significant difference, for if they are not all happening at once then this event cannot very readily be connected to Garabandal's 'Warning'. It might then refer to a different event. It might then be metaphorical. But for sure the Garabandal description has everything happening all at once (or nearly so). It is also with the sixth seal event. We do not appreciate the corruption in the online version of the text. Especially as many might then read it differently than it ought to be read.
The description of verses twelve to fourteen are thus separated, with a period, from the effect it has on those who dwell on the earth (verses fifteen to seventeen) because the focus is different than from the external, visible event itself.
In Last Three Seals In Our Time we gave a detailed account of the sixth seal but we will review it here.
6:12 And I saw, when he had opened the sixth seal: and behold there was a great earthquake. And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair: and the whole moon became as blood:
The earthquake announces that it is about to begin. Afterwards, something is obscuring the light of the sun and the shift in the spectrum causes the full moon to appear red; what is most strange is that the moon might appear 'full' no matter where it is viewed. But however that might happen, we cannot know.
The use of 'natural' imagery as sackcloth and blood tells us that the description is not metaphorical but is of things to be seen with natural sight.
6:13 And the stars from heaven fell upon the earth, as the fig tree casteth its green figs when it is shaken by a great wind:
At the same time as the sky is darkening (or beginning very shortly afterward), the stars become visible and indeed appear to fall, randoming tossing about, as even unripe figs might in a storm. It is some kind of great micro-meteor or dust shower, and an intense one, and coming from all directions somehow.
6:14 And the heaven departed as a book folded up: And every mountain, and the islands, were moved out of their places.
At the same time that the sky is darkening and the stars appear to be falling the sky itself seems to, probably, go blank; beginning from one side to the other; in this case the micro-meteor shower and the moon itself would cease to be visible. If this is not the case then it is connected with the meaning of the mountains and the islands being "moved out of their places", which is all world communications, which today is mostly digital, being shut down; including the internet. The use of the 'natural' imagery as the heaven disappearing "as a book folded up' means it is more likely the former. The mountains and the islands refer to the world communications as their central distribution and control points; as there is no other specific 'natural' imagery in connection to them that is likely metaphorical, as there is no other way to put it in 'biblical' terms. But in either case, the meaning is that the sight of the world is, as it were, blinded for a time.
6:15 And the kings of the earth and the princes and tribunes and the rich and the strong and every bondman and every freeman hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of mountains:
6:16 And they say to the mountains and the rocks: Fall upon us and hide us from the face of him that sitteth upon the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.
6:17 For the great day of their wrath is come. And who shall be able to stand ?
Here the colons are left where they ought to be even on the online version, which makes sense as these three last verses are connected in their subject - but these are describing the state of the world even as the events of the previous verses are happening.
Comparing The Sixth Seal And Garabandal's 'Warning'
In the last three verses we have just seen, it is easy to see the effect of the "revelation of our sins" as the people are thinking of God's wrath even as they see the world apparently coming to an end. The thing is, it is not necessary that everyone would be in fear of God's wrath - specifically - when something unusual and far-reaching and even destructive is happening. In such events, people may or may not be thinking of their last moments. They may be thinking merely of survival. They may see their life 'flash before their eyes'. A great many would pray. Some would merely be resigned. But for well-nigh everyone to be in fear of God's wrath at this time suggests that something in particular is causing them to be thus.
Since the sun is darkened and the moon is reddened and the sky 'goes crazy' with falling stars the event, obviously, is "visible to the whole world and from any place anyone may happen to be". Until at least the temporary crash of world-wide digital communications, everyone who is inside or underground or otherwise without access to the outside will be made aware of it. But it is possible that, without access to visibility, a kind of 'vision' of the event may be caused by the demons even as they make everyone aware of their sins (which the demons themselves have encouraged by many temptations) in the role of the 'Accuser'. It is "seen and felt in all parts of the world and by every person" so having a sort of vision in certain places is certainly possible. That would not have to depend on digital communications.
We have already considered the statement that the 'Warning' will be "like a fire that will not burn our flesh". Additionally, this effect might be part of a kind of 'vision' experienced together with the 'revelation of our sins' - which is like a 'general Accusation', as opposed to the General Judgement. It would seem that the event is meant to be like a precursor to the Final Judgement. God will allow it to happen, but it does not come from Him directly. And that, too, may explain the description of the sixth seal effect (Apoc. 6:15-17) in connection with Garabandal.
Then there is this curious statement: "It will happen in the sky, like the collision of two stars that do not fall down". It has been indicated (from where, it is not remembered) that it might be a metaphorical statement, such as being some kind of 'sign' in the heavens inaugurating the event; but even if it is not - if it is a real collision between asteroids or comets or something of the sort, the result might be the creation of a cloud of fragments and dust which might cause the visual effects described in the sixth seal.[6] But this is too speculatory; however it happens will be known when the time comes. But for now we may observe, in verse twelve, that nothing is indicated as to what causes the sun and the moon to appear differently; and the sky as well; but we know they are all connected and must therefore have a common cause. And the Garabandal statement would seem to answer that question. This is the best example of what we have indicated, namely, that the two accounts interlace together to provide a more complete picture: the Apocalypse provides some details, and Garabandal provides others. In a way it is co-operative, or it appears to be; but it is actually the devil harmonizing his deception with the description of Apocalypse, not to shed light on it, but to shed light on himself; or at least on something which represents himself. As has been said, in his deception he is yet constrained to do as allowed by Heaven in order that all things may be fulfilled - and that the world and everybody in it is given a choice. Without God revealing Himself in full, which will happen at the real, actual End, this is as close to full Revelation as is possible. But it is in a negative sense, in that it is not Him; but His, and our, adversary.
Contrasting The Miracle Of The Sun And 'The Warning' / Sixth Seal
The primary point we are attempting to make concerning the Fatima miracle and Garabandal's 'Warning' (really the sixth seal) is that the former is of Heaven, whereas the latter is not; but to be more precise, the 'Warning' message itself is not of Heaven, though the atmospheric phenomena is pre-arranged by God to occur at that time; hence why it is in Apocalypse; it is also why, in Garabandal, the spiritual effect is framed as a 'revelation of our sins' whereas in Apocalypse it is described only in terms of the impending wrath of God. These aspects are, as it were, two sides of the same coin.
However, Fatima and Garabandal are not two sides of the same coin, but rather opposites in every way. The Garabandal 'apparitions' began in 1961, right after the year the Fatima third secret was supposed to be revealed (as if to supplant it); Fatima makes no reference to Apocalypse, at least in the known secret, although it may be inferred from certain of its details, especially the 'annihilation' of various nations. Garabandal's involvement with Apocalypse will be quite obvious, as no one can mistake the details of the sixth seal with the event which will be called 'the Warning'; but then the antichrist will use the false prophecy to impinge on the true meaning of Apocalypse; and being who he is, he may well attempt to add things to it, or to take away certain things, in a clear contravention of St. John's warning not to do so (Apoc. 22:18-19).
Then there is the scope of the miracle as opposed to the 'Warning'; at Fatima, the miracle itself was seen only in a limited radius around Fatima itself, whereas 'the Warning'/sixth seal will be "seen and felt" world-wide.
It also begins completely differently. At Fatima, it began on a cloudy and rainy day; after which the clouds parted rather quickly, revealing the sun - although the sun itself was pale, so that it was possible to look at it directly. A calm beginning. With 'the Warning', it begins, so it is said, with "a collision of two stars which do not fall down" (Garabandal); at around the same time, presumably, there is a 'great earthquake' to precede it (Apocalypse). A beginning which is anything but calm. The Fatima miracle itself really began when Lucia dos Santos cried out, "look at the sun!" not in fear but in wonder; whereas 'the Warning' begins without an announcement as such but with things which will naturally garner fearful attention, and in an abrupt way.
It is Apocalypse, not Garabandal, which described the heavens as 'departing as a book folded up' but we may infer this to be the latter phase of 'the Warning'; at Fatima, the opposite happened when the clouds rolled away in short order, revealing the heavens very clearly. Notably, nothing is said concerning the sun and the moon in Garabandal; but that is because the Apocalypse supplies those details.
At Fatima, the moon was decidedly a non-factor, being barely visible in its late phase; but at the sixth seal it is the most visible being all red; Garabandal does not mention the moon but it may be inferred to be all blood-red with the description of the event as "like a fire that will not burn our flesh" as the pale red light is reflected down upon the earth.
One of the most notable contrasts is with the sun itself. At Fatima it is the center of attention of course, and it is possible to observe directly; whereas at the sixth seal it is apparently not seen at all, unless it were somehow to appear darker than the sky surrounding it (but this is unlikely). But the thing is, it could be observed directly if it was to be seen; but this is not the case. So we have the contrast of a sun possible to observe which normally cannot be observed, though it is always perceived, as opposed to a sun which cannot be seen or perceived at the time of the sixth seal/'the Warning'.
Garabandal's version of events does not mention the sun at all, even with the curious statement that it 'the Warning' will be "like the collision of two stars that do not fall down". But it may be inferred to be not visible during that time as per the sixth seal; at least shortly after it has begun.
As for the sun itself, it might be wondered just how "black as sackcloth of hair" might it be. Would the light of the sun (its corona and prominences) still be somewhat visible around it, or at least reflected from the possible dust cloud mentioned earlier, or would that be responsible for the 'blood-moon' effect ? How bright will the moon appear at the time ? There is no way to know beforehand. But we may observe another contrast: That in the miracle of the sun, the sun's light is directly responsible for the display of the miracle; whereas in the sixth seal it is the reflected sun's light and also the visible streaks of the 'micro-meteor storm' as they burn up in the atmosphere; but no visible effect is from the sun directly, at all.
At Fatima, the sun 'danced'; whereas during the sixth seal (and 'the Warning') the 'not sun' (the moon as a sort of false sun) remains fixed both in position and in its blood-red hue. At Fatima, the whole thing happened at high noon; whereas for the sixth seal it will be as though 'day turns to night' and, where the moon is visible, night turns to a kind of false day, with the 'false sun' and its red reflected light.
Presumably during the sixth seal/'the Warning' there will still be cloud cover over many areas; in those areas where the moon is visible the event will look more like the sixth seal; where there is cloud cover it is possible the red light reflected from the moon will be diffused among the clouds so as to create the effect of a "fire that will not burn our flesh" even through the clouds, although this is less likely than if there were no obscuring clouds. Whether or not the 'starfall' effect will also thus be seen is unknown, but it is unlikely. However, before the crash of world-wide communications, which presumably does not happen immediately as it is the last effect listed in the Apocalypse description, everyone will be able to see what is happening, at least when it begins.
At Fatima, it was raining before the clouds parted at noon and the miracle began. By contrast, during the sixth seal (and 'the Warning') it appeared to 'rain' with stars, which is a kind of opposite of actual rain, and in a pseudo 'night-sky' (whether or not it was night in those parts of the world according to the clock).
At the beginning of the Fatima miracle, the colour was described as "old yellow damask" before it began to change. Then the people saw reflected on them the light from the varied and, as it were, 'dancing' colours of the sun; whereas at Garabandal there is only indication of a reddish light, presumably from the red moon of the sixth seal description.
Thus far we have seen that Fatima and the sixth seal/'the Warning' are the exact opposite in every respect. But there is one more difference to note: At the end of the Fatima miracle, the witnesses were given a fright: "The sun, whirling madly, seemed all at once to loosen itself from the firmament [the sky] and, blood red, advance threateningly upon the earth as if to crush us with its huge and fiery weight". Afterwards it returned to its position serenely, and the miracle was finished. There is no discernable equivalent in the sixth seal/'the Warning'. The difference is in how it ends. At Fatima, after the frightful motion of the sun, it returned serenely and the witnesses, who were all wet from waiting in the rainy weather before the miracle, found themselves dry and clean. This is a consolation, and one which is more effective after the fright. By contrast, there is no such consolation after the sixth seal/'the Warning'; and the effects of the 'general Accusation' and the thought of the wrath of God must indubitably remain.
We have seen how completely opposite, one to the other, is Fatima and Garabandal and the Fatima miracle with the sixth seal event. After the sixth seal, and then the seventh (Garabandal's 'Miracle'), the choice to the world will be whether to follow Our Lady of Fatima away from the one who will then appear to be the 'saviour of the world', or to follow Garabandal to the antichrist. The only scenario which does not occur to us is that the antichrist uses Fatima for his own ends. We do not see how that can be done. In any case we have the paradox of the true message without a direct connection to Apocalypse and the false message with a direct connection to Apocalypse (which itself is true). The thing which must be taken as true is that the Apocalypse contains in itself the revelation that the devil's 'signs and wonders' are not of Heaven as it is listed it as one of the seals. Each of the opening of the seals represents a progression of the devil's plan in the world, to ensnare the whole world; and that is why the devil interposed his own message to coincide with the sixth seal event. If this were not the case, the event itself, even without the 'general Accusation' (or if it truly came from Heaven), might turn people to God. As it is, people will be turned to Rome, especially as it would, at this time, appear to hold the answers for the world. But with the false message of Garabandal people might not see the seals which preceded it. And that is the choice all will have to make: To go to apostate Rome, or not. In our time it is going out from Rome as it is now which must be done.
[Oct.25/26 Addendum]
Up to this point we have thought that the sky-altering effects of the sixth seal would be cause by natural phenomena. We have read of certain accounts online which opens the possibility for another explanation; that it may be caused directly by the devil and his demons using artifices which amounts to unknown technology. There is yet another alternative: that the demons might be able to move things around in such a way as to cause these effects. Between all of these possibilities we also should account for the 'comet' of Catholic prophecies which seem to us to figure in the 'first timeline' (Apoc. 11). So in the end we have decided that the same comet (or whatever celestial body or bodies it may be - see in The Two Timelines), travelling the same course in either timeline, may in this case be utilized (and perhaps adjusted or altered) by the demons to fulfill their set-up/false prophecy. They may even 'fulfill' the sixth seal in this manner but, in the context of their false prophecy, use it to impose a false meaning on Apocalypse. This seems to us to be what they are doing.
An Unusual Theory Regarding The Role Of Technology In Apocalypse
There is yet one more contrast to see. In this section we will see a sort of 'technological contrast'. It may be, and probably is, just a fancy of the author's; nevertheless as it is another very notable 'opposite' we will see what it is.
One of the main things to note about the beast's coming to power (Apoc. 13) is the role of computer technology. A 'mark' is given without which no one can buy or sell; everyone is tracked and monitored; there is an 'image' of the beast, which must be A.I. ('artificial intelligence'), which is 'given life' and speaks to everyone through their devices. Now, there is no direct connection between this and Garabandal except through the beast, which utilizes both. So basically all of modern computer technology is used to aid the beast in his subjugation of the world. It is obvious that A.I. will also aid him in his "war against the saints" in order to overcome them (Apoc. 13:7).
What does Our Lady of Fatima have to do with any of this ? By Her miracle, She again does something which is 'opposite to' the beast and his technology and the 'false signs and wonders'.
The miracle of the sun seems to us to resemble the effects often done in a Commodore 64 'demo'. There is a 'demoscene' in which retro-tech enthusiasts attempt to make these obsolete machines do things of which they ought not to be capable. But for here we are only concerned to use the C64 as an example, as it really created the demoscene, and this author has an affinity with the system.
The pattern seems familiar. One of the witnesses we have seen earlier said "The suns's disc did not remain immobile, it had a giddy motion, [but] not like the twinkling of a star in all its brilliance for it spun round upon itself in a mad whirl". This is reminiscent of various C64 demos which does animations in various ways which seems beyond its normal capabilities (even as the sun moved beyond its normal design). Of course, it is long since it became hopelessly obsolete and does not impress today unless one is familiar with the system's capabilities and limitations. But the thing is that the sun's motions does not seem to have a specific meaning in itself, except that what is described seems to be a 'mathematical' pattern. A kaleidoscope also shows visual patterns in a kind of symmetry but it is less mathematical than it is 'mirrored'.
The colours in motion are similar. Another of the witnesses had said, "...the sun...began to dance in a violent and convulsive movement, which a great number of witnesses compared to a serpentine dance, because the colours taken on by the surface of the sun were so beautiful and gleaming". Again, this is a common thing in C64 demos - the manipulation of colours in a mathematical pattern - using such functions as sine, cosine, arc, tangents and the like.
A few examples will follow, but before those we must add a few more things. This is really just a personal perspective, which may not mean anything, but as it adds to the totality of the meaning of this post it is included. We have said how technology today is developed in such as way as to aid the antichrist. A long time ago, in 1992, we were given a C64 (the 'C' variant which is the newer off-white colour and form). At the time it was very obsolete but it was still very interesting; and anyway we could not afford things like that back then. The old 8-bit seemed very competitive versus the newer 16-bit systems prevalent at the time. Then a couple of years later Commodore folded, in 1994, and we decided "so much for our future career in computers". But later on there was found this silver lining: "In a way I am glad they went out of business, because then their computers cannot be used as New World Order technology". If that were so, our brand loyalty probably would not survive. But the main point is, of course, the desire not to be attached to the emerging godless 'new world order' in any way. Need we add that Fatima also has, among other things, a similar intention.
For us there are more 'coincidences': The C64 came out in 1982, but it was designed in 1981, and the prototype was technically functional by Dec. 31, 1981. This is 64 years after 1917. For us we noted the concurrence of numbers, as if to draw attention to it.
Then we found that Commodore itself was incorporated the day after the death of Pope Pius XII (Oct. 10, 1958).[7]
In Flipping The Script we noted how, in understanding Apocalypse, we were forced to come to what may be said to be an 'illogical' conclusion, as though there were a 'deliberate [logical] error' in Apocalypse without which a proper understanding could not come about. This is reminiscent of 'copy protection' on the C64 in which the program would not load if it did not encounter a deliberate 'disk error'. One cannot simply gloss over it; one has to account for it. This example, though it is not related to the Fatima miracle effects, is included for completeness. If it were in isolation it would not mean anything; but when added to the others one begins to see a pattern which is impossible (and indeed inadvisable) to ignore. The list is by no means exhaustive but that will suffice for now.
Naturally it will be asked 'what relevance' does this have to do with the Faith, the Church, and salvation ? It has no relevance to those things as such; but we believe it has relevance to Apocalypse. It is to us a recurring motif which is meant to signify things related to Apocalypse (For us, there is one other such motif, and it is the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, notably The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit, from which this site/blog takes its name. We think Heaven utilizes certain things as signs in an Apocalyptic context). And most of all we think it interesting that Our Lady of Fatima seemed to pattern the Miracle of the Sun in a way reminiscent of a future hopelessly obsolete computer from a company whose systems would not be used for the new world order or its antichrist; the use of this as a kind of reference does seem related to humility. And that sounds like Her. But it is the last example of how opposite Fatima and its miracle is to Garabandal and its 'Warning': As opposed to the 'signs and wonders' which will shortly be in service to the beast and its technology which will be utilized for him and his 'image' it seems Our Lady of Fatima's equivalent is from something old, obsolete and therefore humble as it were. So we do not think it irrelevant, whatever else others may say.[8] At this point we care not. Finally, we think these 'opposites' we have shown have one particular meaning, and it is to not in any way whatsoever confound one with the other. There is no ambiguity and there is to be no mistake.
Some examples of C64 demo effects which seem to illustrate the visual effects of the sun that the witnesses described:

To recap: Garabandal, recent (when it happens), linked with the sixth seal (worldwide) and the whole computerized network and the 'image' of the beast as opposed to Our Lady of Fatima, far in the past, whose Miracle was over a limited area, and which is patterned after a hopelessly obsolete computer (as opposed to modern, and proud, tech). These cannot be more opposite. And again, that is the point. The pattern is three points for three points; each. There is more actually.
Footnotes
1. The four living creatures (Apoc. 4 and 5) which represent Our Lady in the four Marian dogmas in highly metaphorical form are before the throne of God in Heaven at the beginning of events; and Our Lady's secret concerns things which are world-changing in scope. But trying to draw a one-to-one parallel is not the point; indeed it would be to miss the point. In chapters four and five is the Heavenly perspective; at Fatima our perspective, or rather an earthly one, is known.
2. It is debatable whether the devil considers it necessary to demoralize the world in such a way that even common sense is being lost in order to bring souls to hell, or whether it is due to his implacable hatred of anything which is true. It may be both; but the point is, it is interesting that his master-stroke - overcoming the Papacy itself, or at least causing it to be "taken out of the way" - is so subtle as to be unseen by the world except for the odd timing of smoke signals (see WhiteSmoke1958.com); and yet its scope was capable of bringing every last Catholic on earth, technically, into schism. To catch the Church via a technicality. That is why the papacy was "taken out of the way" (see Siri Thesis: Sede Vacante Or Sede Remota ?). The point here is that, everything he has done since then is the opposite of subtlety. We also think that the book of life, and the seals which hitherto has kept it shut, has everything to do with this.
3. The great example of inserting an interpretation to something which already existed is the 'conjob19' of 2020-21, in which a 'new' virus was derived by re-interpretation of the already existing flu virus. It was an 'overlay upon reality' as it were.
4. As well as other alternatives, such as whether to believe the antichrist or not, and whether to believe Garabandal or the Apocalypse.
5. It is likely that the beast will have suffered his 'death's wound' (Apoc. 13:3) just prior to this time. When it will be 'healed' remains to be seen but it ought not to be very long after. A few days to a month or two ? We cannot know; but it actually does not matter.
6. The main problem with this theory is whether or not it might knock out the satellites. However it happens, the digital communications devices have to remain intact for the beast to gain the power he does through the world, and to maintain that control through such things as the 'mark' and his 'image'.
7. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodore_International]. One more thing: Some say that Commodore was the entity known as Commodore International, founded in Bahamas in 1976; but we consider it to be the same entity since 1958. Some may make a point of it; but for us there is no point to the distinction. Again, this is irrelevant to anyone else, but to us the companyt is a sort of Apocalypse-related motif specifically for our times.
8. It is another odd parallel, but we make free to make it: The demoscene which pushes the C64 to well beyond its designed capabilities is a type of metaphor for the development of virtues - so that the soul becomes capable of acts of virtue and selflessness it normally could not do. On the flip side, today's devices make it all to easy. It is not a condemnation of modern technology as such - it may be used for good or evil - but it is probably better to use it minimally rather than be too dependent on it. This is better for the soul.
